So...Trent Stewart took first place with a smoking time of 22:14. Trent, 34, is a fairly new rider but has continued to improve his time and standing in this race over the last three years. After overcoming a thigh injury from last week, and using his brand new MBS Tom Kirkman for the first time, he now holds the "King of the Grade" title for 2010. Nice Work Trent!

This year's race had a few side stories...Firstly, the freshly graded road had about a mile of pavement on some of the steeper sections. We did our best to add dirt for sliding in some key areas, but this year's course was very fast and scary. Big props to all the riders!
On the way up the mountain, we came across two "hard wheel" mountainboarders who were just out freeriding with no skyhooks or bindings. They had no idea the race was happening that day and decided to compete with us. Both of these guys, Matt Tatter and Chris Coughlin, deserve their own trophies for mind-blowing charging down the mountain! We may have to add a Hard Wheel division for next year.
Daymein and Gunner Hertenstein are insane in the membrane! Daymein took 4th with the big boys and will no longer compete in the youth division. Watch out Kody! Gunner is flying down the mountain and next year won't have to compete with big brother Daymein. These two kids are in a league of their own.
Julianne Lewis shreds and is the only girl to ever make it down the grade. She is two time undefeated Queen of the Grade. What's up Carolyn? Melissa? Nancy?
The party at Hooterville was a blast as usual. Food, drinks, sick bands, jumps, and general mayhem always makes partying at Hooterville legendary. Big thanks to the Jones Family!
